In 1994, the founder of Happytel observed people carrying handheld consumer mobile phones for the first time and thought that such expensive devices need to be well protected but still have style to reflect the customer. After some extensive research, he, a previous employee of Samsung realised that what was available in the market was unsuitable. The holes were not in the right place for the microphone, speaker and the charging port. And black, was the only colour on offer.
So a year later, he came up with the solution and Happytel was born. Once people tried on a Happytel leather case, they were amazed at the fit and overjoyed that it came in colour. A colourful case meant that women were quickly able to find their phones from inside their handbags. But more simply, colour enabled people to express themselves and mobile phones became a part of the person’s individuality, style and fun!
At Happytel we understand that each customer is unique. They should have something which suits them. So we go out and speak to phone users about how they would like a phone case to be. The information gathered is then used to design and manufacture cases which are then released into the market. Feedback on these products are direct and immediate because our retail presence allows the unique platform for face to face interaction with the consumer.
